


Advanced Piloting is the final part of the inland and coastal navigation series. This course continues to build on the base developed in Piloting, and includes practical use of additional electronic navigation systems and other advanced techniques for finding postiion.
Amoung the topics covered in Advanced Piloting are: finding position using bearings and angles, collision avoidance using GPS and Radar, what to do when the electronics fail, tides and currents and their effect on piloting, electronic navigation with -- GPS, Chartplotters, Radar, Autopilots, etc., application of course lectures through practical, in class, exercises.
This course is for Squadron members only. If you are interested in joining Greensboro Power Squadron please enroll in The Squadron Boating Coursesm. This course is a prerequisite for anyone desiring membership
